Each cabin is privately nestled in the beautiful mixed hardwoods of north shore Nova Scotia's rolling Cobequid Highlands. Accomodations have been kept simple, with a single room, no electricity, no running water, and no indoor plumbing. The cabins are well insulated and warm. They are brightly lit, and have kitchenettes equiped with two burner propane hot plates and a minimum necessity of pots, pans and utensils. Heating, cooking and lighting is by propane. We sell propane. We ask retreatants to pay for their propane, as each tank runs out, thro our propane exchange system. Beds consist of two inch, high density foam pads on plywood platforms. Retreatants must bring their own bedding. With a hundred square foot floor plan, the cabins just large enough for prostration practise. There is room to set up a shrine. Retreatants have access to a sauna and miles of hiking / cross country ski trails. The cabins are 100 to 300 meter walk-ins, so retreatants must be able and prepared to carry their gear in, as well as to carry their water. Retreatants are encouraged to come fully prepared and to be fully self sufficient in their retreat, as there are no services offered, other than the cabins themselves.
